BRP Tour Added to Yankee Doodle Festivities at Central PA Speedway

The BRP Modified Tour is pleased to confirm that they will be competing at the Central PA Speedway, in Clearfield, PA, on Tuesday, July 3rd, as part of the speedway’s annual Yankee Doodle 50 racing card. The 2007 event will be the series’ third at the speedway as hometown hero, Del Rougeux Jr., took the inaugural event in 2005 with Leechburg’s Brian Swartzlander winning last year’s race. The Tour looks forward to working with speedway Race Director, Bill Lyle, to make the 2007 edition of the Yankee Doodle event a success.
The Tour Board is continuing to work with several other area facilities to add more dates to the 2007 schedule and the additional dates will be announced in the near future. In addition please note that a decision on the tentative event at the Lake Erie Speedway will be made after the testing session to be held in late April.

The Modified Tour Inc. racing series is a non-profit organization established to give the V-8 Modifieds in the Western Pennsylvania area a chance to compete with one another for a higher purse structure and for a point fund for the races that are run. Started in 1998 by Tim Engles, Lon and Pam Baker and Randy Myers the Modified Tour has had great success at bringing the local cars together at the area racetracks.
Board Meeting (Meetings are open to all)

The Modified Tour Inc Board will be meeting at the Captain Loomis Inn in Clarion, PA. We usually start to gather at 6:00 pm for dinner and the meeting will start as folks finish eating. Meetings are open to all.
