Officials of Lernerville Speedway and The Modified Tour, Inc. confirmed in a recent meeting that the following rules will be applied for the two BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour events held at Lernerville Speedway on May 29 and September 11. These rules will NOT apply for any weekly DIRTcar Modified event held at Lernerville Speedway in 2009.
1. The use of Methanol will be permitted at DIRTcar sanctioned tracks through the end of 2009 only. Methanol will not be allowed in BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour events at DIRTcar sanctioned tracks beginning in 2010. In addition, for 2009, only VP brand Methanol will be permitted. It will be available at each DIRTcar track.
2. The display of non-VP decals on race cars or non-VP signage at events at Tri-City and Lernerville is prohibited. VP Race Fuels is the official fuel of DIRTcar Racing and it is bound by contract not to allow branding from competing companies.
3. A 10-gallon minimum purchase of VP Race Gas or VP Methanol will be required for all teams that do not run VP Race Fuels regularly at each BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour event at Lernerville and Tri-City.
PLEASE NOTE: Race teams that do not regularly use VP Race Fuels may be required to demonstrate that they have made the required fuel purchase on the night of the event or the fuel may be checked for compliance with the VP Race Gas requirement. Race teams that do not meet these requirements may be subject to disqualification.
