Officials of Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway and The Modified Tour, Inc. are pleased to announce a return engagement for the BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour at Dirt’s Monster Half Mile. On September 5, Modisaurus X will feature the ground pounding Big Blocks, along with the full card of PPMS stock car classes. The special holiday program will have the Modifieds race 25 laps for $1,500 to win.
“The first race was so exciting, we could not wait till next year to bring them all back again,” said promoter Matt Miley. The Modifieds made their first appearance at PPMS in nearly nineteen years on May 25, when Kevin Bolland tamed the Monster. “We were really pleased with the tremendous support of the racers and the fans,” Miley added.
“Thirty-seven cars signed in for the May race, and September 5 should be another good fit for the drivers,” Modified Tour President Ray Baselj commented. Because Sharon Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park will not be racing any Modifieds that night, another large filed is expected.
