Modified Tour Announces Lernerville Date

Officials of the BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour and Lernerville Speedway are pleased to announce that the series will appear at the Action Track on Friday, May 21. The program will proceed under the rules package negotiated for the 2009 events held at the track.

“We are sorry that it took a while for us to make this announcement,” said Modified Tour President Lou Long. “We could not release a date until after Lernerville Track Manager Gary Risch, Jr. returned from his extended duties in Florida during Speedweeks,” he explained. Risch was assisting Lernerville’s parent company, World Racing Group, present the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.

Although more Tour dates are still under negotiation, it currently appears that the series will open at Lernerville. Other confirmed dates for the Modified Tour are: Saturday, May 28, Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway; Saturday, June 19, Mercer Raceway Park; Sunday, July 4, Tri-City Speedway (Kodiak Memorial); Wednesday, July 7, Sharon Speedway (Lou Blaney Memorial); Saturday, September 18, Sharon Speedway (Russ King Memorial); and Saturday, October 2, Midway Speedway (Buckeye Fall Brawl).
