KING-MURDICK-HOFFMAN ELIGIBLE FOR ALL-STAR EXEMPTION DASH

Three of the top four drivers in the BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour points will be eligible for the Exemption Dash as part of the DIRTcar All-Star Weekend to be held at Cayuga County Fair Speedway, in Weedsport, NY, on July 16-17, 2010. Rex King, Sr. gained his spot in the Exemption Dash by being the current points leader, while Dave Murdick and Kevin Hoffman earned theirs by outstanding performances in selected Modified Tour events. Murdick won the Modified Tour opener at Lernerville Speedway. When he repeated in the Kodiak Memorial at Tri-City Speedway, his runner-up, Hoffman, was awarded the spot by DIRTcar officials. The odd man out is Jeremiah Shingledecker, who currently sits third in the Modified Tour standings. The top two finishers in the Exemption Dash will automatically transfer into the July 17 All-Star 100, which will pay $20,000 to the winner.
